  1.  Are you in favour of the Queensland Government retaining ownership of the complete 72,000 kilometre Queensland Stock Route Network?     Yes
Comment: The Greens are strongly in favour of Qld’s stock routes remaining in public hands, and were alarmed at reports late last year that the NSW govt, and possibly the Qld govt, was investigating selling some of this valuable land off into private hands.
  2. Do you agree that this network is a wonderful network of corridors for native fauna?       Yes
Comment: Strongly agree. These corridors will become all the more important as our wildlife and its habitat feels the effect of climate change.
  3. Do you agree that the Stock Route Network is a valuable bank of native vegetation compared with many nearby developed areas?        Yes
Comment: Strongly agree. This vegetation is crucial for stock, wildlife, and as a carbon sink.
  4. Are you willing, if elected, to support the retention and good management of the Stock Route Network as corridors of Biodiversity?            Yes
Comment: This will be a high priority for Queensland Greens MPs in Parliament.
  5. Do you consider that the state should contribute financially to the upkeep and management of the Stock Route Network?                Yes
Comment: Agree. We also support federal NRM funding being used for this purpose, and our Food and Agriculture policy supports state contributions to NRM bodies to assist in their core work and extension programs. This would include work contributing to maintaining the good condition of the long paddock.

Independent: Stuart Copeland  (Cunningham) was the only independent canvassed, because of lack of ready availability to email addresses. He answered Yes to all questions without comment.
